Van Anda Water Supply

Van Anda Water Supply

Van Anda obtains its water supply from Priest Lake.

Water is fed by pumps into the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) where it undergoes pretreatment using 25 µm self-cleaning filters. The water then goes through 5 µm cartridge filters, followed by Purolite A860 ion exchange filters, to reduce the TOC to below 2 ppm. The TOC reduction is then be followed by disinfection using ultraviolet (UV) irradiation before exiting the WTP to the chlorination building for final chlorine disinfection and then on to the new storage tank. From here it is distributed throughout the townships water main system.

Water shed maps are on the Watershed Maps & Description page.
